DeWalt’s miter saw workstation is made of rugged, anodized aluminum, supports 300 pounds, and will accommodate most brands of miter saws. The stand’s wide-legged design adapts quickly to the unpredictable surfaces of a job site. Setup is quick and easy. But what we like best is the tool mount, easily the tool’s most distinctive feature. You bolt the saw to a flat table that slides along the workstation’s double rails, which then allows you to reposition the saw along the stand if necessary or remove the saw without having to unscrew any bolts. A convenient tool stop also rides on the workstation’s double rails, a snap to adjust: just unclamp, slide it in place, and reclamp. And when the job’s done, just slide the saw off, retract the workstation’s legs, and go. The whole station weighs only 35 pounds and, when folded up, fits easily in a truck bed. There’s also a self-adjusting measurement system (a cradle for a standard tape measure to extend from the work stop to the edge of the tool mount); it works, but the system seemed unnecessarily complicated to us, and we found it easier to set the work stop off the cut. –Jon Groebner more info
